Tour details

Focused on spending as much time in nature as possible, this tour is just what the doctor ordered for all nature lovers not excluding the main attractions in the western part of Romania.


Day 1

We will pick you up from the airport in Cluj and from there we will drive to Viseul de Sus and we will spend the rest of the day there.

Day 2

Today, you will spend the first part of the day in the famous Mocanita steam train that will take you on a journey through the scenic mountains, then we will continue to go further north west and visit the Merry Cemetery and the Village Museum in Sighetul Marmatiei.

From there we will head back to Viseul de Sus where we will have dinner and spend the night


Day 3

This day scheduled for visiting the fortified Churches of Budesti and Barsana as well as a walk through the woods to the Blue Lake, known for its unique color.


Day 4

Today we will leave the northern part of Romania to visit the medieval city of Sighisoara. On our way we will make a stop at Turda Salt Mine where we will spend some time deep inside the earth and breathe some salt rich air, enjoy a boat ride on the salt lake inside the mine, ride the Ferris wheel and play some golf.

Once we reach the city we will check out the Sighisoara Citadel and then you will be free to roam around the city at your own pace till dinner time.

We will also spend the night in Sighisoara


Day 5

In the morning we will visit the Fortified Church of Biertan and then we will head to the second medieval city of this tour, Sibiu.

Here we will visit the Citadel of Sibiu as well as climb in the City tower where you have an impressive view over the city.

The afternoon will be a free one when you will be able to roam around the city at your own pace and will or just relax at a coffee shop or accommodation.

We will spend the night here.


Day 6

Today we will leave the medieval city of Sibiu and make our way to Garda de Sus, a place surrounded by mountains.

On our way, we will visit Corvin Castle, one of the most impressive castles Romania has to offer as well as Scarisoara Cave, inside which the main attraction is Scarisoara Glacier and how it is surviving the test of time.

We will have dinner and spend the night at Grada de Sus.


Day 7

This day is dedicated to spending time in nature as we will walk a lot through the forests of Apuseni Natural Park in order to visit 2 beautiful caves: Bears Cave and Meziad Cave.

Once our journey in nature ends, we will head back to civilization as we will spend the late afternoon and night in Cluj where we will have dinner and relax.


Day 8

The first part of this day will be at a slower pace as we will roam around the city and visit the Blue Lagoon close to Cluj and in the second part of the day you will be free.


Day 9

This is the day that we sadly have to say good bye at the airport and hope that your journey with us was one that you enjoyed.
