Dracula’s Path Tour – Overview

Landing in Bucharest and departure towards Sinaia where we will spend the night
We will travel to one of the peaks of the Bucegi Mountains by cable car where we will see the Bucegi Sphinx, after that we will embark on another cable car to the Padina Plateau where we will walk to the Ialomita Monastery that is built literally inside a cave.
We will return to Sinaia and in the afternoon, you will be free to roam around Sinaia or take a short walk in the forests surrounding this small city.
In the first part of the day we will visit Peles Castle and take a short walk around the castle’s beautiful gardens and after that we will drive towards Poiana Brasov where we will have lunch and go with the cable car on Postavaru Massif.
We will spend the evening in Brasov.
On this day we will go to the Citadel of Rasnov where we will learn about its history and military use, after which we will go and see the bears at the Liberty Bears Sanctuary.
A traditional lunch will be eaten at Cheile Gradistei, a place with amazing surrounding views.
After lunch we will visit the infamous Dracula’s Castle where you will be taken back in time to Vlad the Impaler’s era and check out the way he lived and some of the things that he did that made him the inspiration for Bran Stoker’s book: Dracula.
Lunch and the second part of the day will be spent in Sighisoara were a short visit at Sighisoara Citadel is a must. For those who are willing, a short staircase climb to the Church on the Hill’s tower is the perfect way to get a nice view over the city of Sighisoara.
Until dinnertime, you will be free to roam around this medieval city.
The night will be spent here.
On this day we will leave towards Alba Iulia City and on the way, our first stop will be at Biertan fortified Church, mentioned in the UNESCO World Heritage Journal.
The second landmark of the day is the Turda Salt Mine where we will spend some fun time inside, breathe some salt rich air, enjoy a boat ride on the salt lake inside the mine, ride the Ferris wheel and play some golf.
From here, our next stop will be at Alba Iulia where spend the night.
Today, after breakfast, we will go toward the City of Sibiu but on the way, we will spend a couple of hours at Alba Carolina Citadel.
Lunch today will be served in Sibiu and after lunch, you will enjoy a free afternoon to roam around the streets of this medieval city, do some shopping, take lots of pictures, call it in early or just relax all afternoon at a coffee shop or at the place where we will spend the night.
Today we will spend the first part of the day on the road to Bucharest, where we will also have lunch in the old town. On our way we will visit Poenari Fortress, the place where Vlad the Impaler, ruler of Transylvania lived with his wife.
After lunch, we will visit the main attractions of this city, such as The Romanian Peasant Museum and the Palace of Parliament.
The evening will be at your disposal.
Today we will go to Snagov and visit the Monastery of Snagov, the resting pace of Vlad the Impaler, a small but very interesting landmark.
Once we return to the capital, the rest of the day will be free in order for you to do some shopping, spend time relaxing in the Old Town or check out the parks close to the old town.
This is the day that we sadly have to say good bye at the airport and hope that your journey with us was one that you enjoyed.
